Around Town provides members with information about some of the non-CPRS communications-related events and workshops being held in and around the Victoria area

Did you know that Victoria has a social media club?

Meeting once a month, the group brings in various speakers who cover different aspects of social media. The next meeting on January 20 will feature our most high profile speaker to date, Julien Smith. He’ll be talking about using the web to build influence, improve reputation and earn trust.

Julien is co-author with Chris Brogan of Trust Agents, a New York Times and Wall Street Journal best seller, that has been singled out on Amazon.com as one of the top 10 business and investing books of 2009.

Alliance of Professional Associations (APA) Events
The Alliance of Professional Associations (APA) is an informal Victoria-based network of 15 professional associations that is committed to working together to individually and collectively increase the profile and effectiveness of the associations through shared information and resources.

CPRS-VI participates actively in the APA to provide additional benefits to CPRS-VI members. Benefits include networking opportunities at two annual APA mixers, as well as a Calendar of Events with timely information about educational and professional events organized by other professional associations. CPRS-VI members are invited to register as non-members for any event that is of interest to them.
