CPRS-VI at the Library

Whistler Conference Legacy Fund In Action

Thanks to our Whistler Conference Legacy Fund, CPRS-VI is able to offer increased educational support to its members. The society now houses a collection of public relations books at the Greater Victoria Public Library for the use of our members and the general public. It's a great arrangement: each year, CPRS-VI will add to the collection. The library buys and catalogues the books, and puts them on the shelves.

Here's the best part. Click on the titles below and use the number on the front of your library card to reserve the book through the library's on-line catalogue. You can even request it to be delivered to your neighbourhood branch of the library.

You will need to have a library password (which is separate from CPRS-VI password) to do this. For more information about the library's on-line reservations system and how to obtain a Library password, please click here for the GVPL website.

GVPL also has a selection of e-resources of interest to pr professionals including:

- Newspaper and magazine articles (for the last 10 to 20 years). Includes the Times-Colonist and Vancouver Island's Black Press newspapers.

- Magazine and journal articles on every subject, including health, business, the arts, computers, as well as general interest topics.

- Newspapers from 55 countries in 33 languages including the Times Colonist, Globe and Mail and National Post. Full-colour images of every page - just like the print version.

Check out all the e-resources that your library has here.

If you have any questions, or would like to add a book to next year's wish list, please contact the CPRS-VI Education Chair.
